Reaching GENOA

In the car

There are several highways connecting Genoa with other destinations, which are then connected to the Italian and European road network. It is possible to visit the APT(Azienda Provinciale del Turismo), the Municipalities of Genoa, or Google Maps to get more information.

By Train

The main stations in Genoa are Genova Porta Principe and Genova Brignole. Train schedule diagrams are available online (e.g., the timetable of the Italian Railways or Tripmanager). In these cases, searching for Genoa is equivalent to searching for "Genova Porta Principe." In general, all trains from the west, north, and northeast stop at Principe; some stop at Principe and then proceed to Genoa Brignole; Whereas, all trains from the east stop at Brignole and most proceed stopping at Principe as well.

By Air

Genoa's airport is Cristoforo Colombo.
It is located in the western part of the city 6 km from the center. Via is a bus (No. 100 "Volabus") that connects the airport with Genoa Porta Principe station. More or less there is a No. 100 every hour. For more information on Volabus tickets and prices visit Azienda Mobilita' Trasporti.

There are also daily connections between Piazza della Vittoria (very close to ANPAN headquarters) and Nice (France) and Milan Malpensa airports. Piazza della Vittoria is also very close to Brignole station. For more information, contact, for example, The Volpi Agency (tel: +39-010-586511/581594).

By ship

It is, of course, also possible to reach Genoa by ship. Many ships from major Mediterranean ports reach and sail from the Maritime Station. Visit, for example, the APT (Provincial Tourist Board) or the City of Genoa for more information.
